KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater boys were sixth while the girls finished fifth on Friday night at the Kalamazoo Loy Norrix Don Lukens Invitational.
Battle Creek Lakeview won the boys meet with 156 points followed by Portage Central with 106 and Loy Norrix with 93. Coldwater finished with 27 points.
Coldwater’s Steven Covell was fifth in the 400, Myron Lafty was fourth in the 1600, John Aerts was eighth in the 3200, Zach Coffing was third in the shot put and fifth in the discus, Zach Diotte was sixth in the discus and Hunter Munson was second in the pole vault and fourth in the long jump.
Portage Central won the girls meet with 120 points followed by Otsego with 91 points and Battle Creek Lakeview with 78. Coldwater finished with 56 points.
Coldwater’s Anna DeMeester was fifth in the 200, Grace Huff was third in the 800, Legend Szafranski was seventh in the 300 hurdles and eighth in the high jump, Elli Foley was second in the shot put and third in the discus, Heidi Katz was seventh in the discus, Jaelah Sloan was fifth in high jump, Avery Boyce was second in the pole vault and Sarah Forrister was fourth in the long jump.
