COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s a problem that just will not go away for Branch County government.
The County is still in need of 911 dispatchers.
911 Director Bob Swick told the County Communications Board on Wednesday that a veteran dispatcher has left but they are hoping to fill three positions in the not too distant future.
Even if those three trainees come on board, Swick said 911 Communications will still be short two dispatchers.
Department representatives were at this week’s Hiring Blitz at Kellogg Community College’s Grahl Center.
A job posting remains up on the county’s web site. It states a new hire would make $16.13 an hour.
The pay range is listed as being between $16.13 to $20.51 an hour with the first step increase at six months of employment.
