BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A Go Fund Me page has been established by the family of local musician Jim Stout in an attempt to get him back to the area after he has suffered a series of health issues in New Mexico where he winters.
After he got out of University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, Stout and his wife Laurie were getting ready to return to Michigan when he began having multiple stroke episodes starting on Easter Sunday.
It’s been touch and go over the last month and a half and Stout had to go back to the emergency room due to ongoing complications.
His loved ones now realize this is not going to be a short-term fix and that he needs to get back home to Michigan.
The Go Fund Me page is trying to raise $30,000 to help support the funding of an Air Ambulance to bring Stout home since he is in a condition that needs critical care and cannot just fly home on his own.
As of early Monday afternoon, over $5,600 has been raised so far.
