QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – 73 members of Quincy High School’s class of 2022 were given their diplomas on Sunday afternoon at the high school football field.
The 142nd commencement ceremony at Quincy High School featured a tradition that dates back to 1898, the presentation of the Cane from the seniors to the juniors.
Class secretary Elizabeth Talbot mentioned how the Class of ’22 will use the COVID-19 pandemic as a life lesson.
This years Senior Scholar Award winners were Madeline Brammer and Gracelin Crabbs.
Suzanne Crabbs was the commencement speaker.
Something that started during the COVID-19 pandemic continued on Sunday as seniors took part in a parade after the commencement that went down Fulton, Chicago, Pleasant and Liberty Streets.
