CLEVELAND, OH (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers are bounced back with a win on the road Sunday. Detroit beat the Guardians 4-2 in Cleveland.
Alex Faedo earned the win after allowing two runs over five-and-a-third frames. Gregory Soto pitched a clean ninth to secure his seventh save of the year.
Javier Báez launched a solo shot in the eighth inning for his third homer of the season.
Saturday’s game at Cleveland was rained out, and Friday night the Tigers lost 6-1.
The Tigers improved to 14-and-26 and start a road series with the Minnesota Twins tonight. The opening pitch is scheduled for 7:40 p.m. EDT.
