COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Fort Wayne man was formally charged during an arraignment on Monday in Branch County District Court in connection with an April 2021 crash at the intersection of Fremont and Copeland Roads.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department said at the time of the crash that a pickup truck driven by 33-year-old Evan Lindsey Kerr allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 69-year-old James Wagenknecht of Hamilton.
Kerr has been charged with two counts of OUI causing serious injury, reckless driving causing serious impairment of bodily functions and moving violation causing serious impairment of bodily functions. Bond has been set at $10,000. A probable cause hearing was set for June 28 with a preliminary exam on July 5.
