KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A report of suspicious activity in Kinderhook Township early Tuesday morning led the Michigan State Police to find a pickup truck and a utility trailer that had both been stolen.
Troopers were dispatched to the area of Copeland Road and Cades Cove Lane at approximately 1:30 a.m..
They discovered an abandoned red 2000 Chevy Silverado pick-up truck that had been reported stolen from Steuben County, Indiana.
The utility trailer was stolen from a residence near the 400 block of East Southern Road.
In the bed of the stolen truck were some additional stolen items, sporting equipment, gas cans, and other miscellaneous items that are still being investigated.
The Michigan State Police are working with the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office on this matter.
