BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – It’s the final week of school for students in all of the Branch County districts.
The Coldwater and Bronson school districts will dismiss students for summer vacation on Thursday.
Students in the Quincy and Union City districts will start their summer vacation after classes on Friday.
Normally during the summer months, school districts perform a number of infrastructure improvement projects in their buildings and that will be the case this year for Coldwater Community Schools.
The projects include a new roof at Lincoln Learning Center, a fire alarm upgrade at Legg Middle School, new doors at a entrance to the high school and new bleachers for the soccer field that would replace the old wooden ones. The projects will be paid for through sinking and general funds.
In addition, over $14,000 in Food Service funds will be used to add security door access for the food service doors at Coldwater High School, Legg Middle School, Jefferson Elementary and Max Larsen Elementary .
