COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County 911 Director Bob Swick told the 911 Communications Board on Wednesday there have been no changes with staffing levels since last month which means they are still short of the number of dispatchers they need.
Swick said one of their dispatchers took a position within the past month at the courthouse but two previous trainees have become fulltime dispatchers.
Two other potential dispatchers have begun training this week.
Swick said new testing tools have been a big help.
A job posting remains up on the county’s web site.
The pay range is listed as being between $16.13 to $20.51 an hour with the first step increase at six months of employment.
