COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Officials with the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency said on Tuesday they are currently completing the plan to provide COVID-19 vaccination with Pfizer and Moderna authorized mRNA vaccine to children 6 months to five years of age.
Health Officer Rebecca Burns says, “The agency must complete the required training and documentation for our clinical staff and the administrative tasks required to begin the vaccination program for this age group. The agency will provide additional information in the coming days through our media partners, website, and social media platforms.”
The CDC recently gave the okay for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine for youngsters between six months and five years old.
The vaccines became available on Tuesday. More than 200 children in the U.S. have died from COVID-19 and 20,000 American kids have been hospitalized.
