COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A longtime member of the Coldwater Police Department has accepted a job with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that Lt. Nick Thornton will serve as a Conservation Officer with the D.N.R..
He said the city would like to congratulate Thornton who he said has professionally served the Coldwater community for over 21 years.
Thornton began as an officer with the Coldwater Police Department before later being promoted to Sergeant and then to his recent appointment of Lieutenant.
Baker said, “While we regret Lt. Thornton’s departure, we would like to wish him and his family the best in his new endeavor.”
