COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As Michigan remains among the 20 states said to be in the epidemic phase of the outbreak, how is Branch County coping? In the words of Community Health Center of Branch County Chief of Staff Dr. Joe Daoud, the flu is in full swing here with a lot cases with different symptoms, many of them elderly patients who had to be hospitalized for 2 or 3 days and had already been dealing with other conditions, heart or lung problems or asthma.
According to Dr Daoud, those patients have generally responded well to treatment. He says the flu sufferers are being admitted into one certain area of the Community Health Center, with detailed instructions for the staff dealing with such patients as well as any visitors.
