QUINCY, MI (WTVB) -The Quincy Village Council approved the renewal of Village Manager Eric Zuzga’s contract Tuesday night. The renewed contract would raise Zuzga’s salary from $64,000 to $70,000 effective on April 1st.
Zuzga has been the Quincy Village Manager since 2004. It has been four years since his last contract was negotiated. The length of the contract is open ended.
Future salaries would be set by the Village Council during the annual budget process.
In other business, Mike Hagaman was reappointed as President Pro Tem.
The Council also approved the sale of property at 29 West Jefferson to a neighboring resident at a price of $1,200. The Village had earlier acquired the property and tore down a blighted structure.
They also approved the purchase of a new water meter reading system that will allow meter reads to be picked up from an antenna on top of the water tower.
