UNDATED (WTVB) – It looks like it’s going to be a day of white knuckle driving. The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Weather Advisory for Branch and surrounding counties until 9:00pm Saturday night.
Forecasters say we can expect a miserable wintry mix throughout Saturday that will consist of light snow, freezing drizzle and sleet.
The precipitation is expected to turn to light snow by late Saturday evening.Ice accumulation of less than a tenth of an inch is expected along with one to two inches of snow.
Untreated roads will be slick and hazardous.
Very cold air is expected Sunday and Monday. Actual temperatures are expected to get down to five below on Sunday night. Wind chills on Monday morning are expected to be as low as 23 degrees below zero.
