COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Three women from Hillsdale were bound over to Branch County Circuit Court after they allegedly shoplifted over $1,700 worth of items from a pair of Coldwater stores Thanksgiving night.
50-year-old Tamera Lynn Karpanai, 35-year-old Tabitha Anne Bennett and 30-year-old Shanda Michelle Lane all waived their preliminary exams Thursday in Branch County District Court.
They are all facing five charges including 1st Degree Retail Fraud, Disorderly Conduct and Organized Retail Crime.
Court documents indicate three juvenile girls were with them at the time.
Authorities say $1,250 worth of items were allegedly taken from the Meijer store. The three suspects are also accused of allegedly taking almost $500 worth of items from Wal-Mart.
