COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council formally approved changes to the city’s landscaping ordinance on Monday night.
City Planner Dean Walrack said the changes would provide more clarity and direction for the City’s development expectations and to provide for some relief from standards which have been out-of-scale with other requirements or difficult to administer.
He added the changes would also affect when landscaping would be required.
Mayor Tom Kramer felt the changes were fair for everyone.
The Coldwater Planning Commission formally recommended the proposed changes last December on a 8-0 vote after over two years of discussion which included the city hiring a consultant.
