COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Over 4,000 Consumers Energy customers lost their power in the southern part of Branch County late Wednesday morning. The outage affected areas south of Fenn Road such as Kinderhook and Coldwater Lake.
Consumers Energy said all power was was restored around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. The outage last about one hour.
A spokesperson for Consumers says the outage was caused when an electric substation near Coldwater had to be de-energized so that ITC, which is a transmission company which supplies Consumers electricity, could repair a broken pole safely.
