KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – Assuming there are no legal roadblocks, Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak says their recount of presidential election ballots will start at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.
With the number of state election workers that are available and because the recount has to be completed by next Tuesday, many counties are being combined with others.
Branch County is one of those counties. Its recount will be held at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds.
Branch County’s recount was originally scheduled to start Thursday morning but was moved up after the Kalamazoo County went faster than expected.
Hillsdale County’s recount will be at the Paragon Charter Academy in Jackson, St. Joseph County’s recount will be conducted at Southwest Michigan College in Dowagiac while Calhoun County’s recount will be conducted at the United Methodist Church in Marshall.
