COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater Planning Commission approved two requests concerning a proposed Child Group Day Care Home Monday night.
The commission approved a special land use permit as well as an amendment to the Zoning Code for the operation of the home for seven to 13 children in a One Family Residential District.
The home would be located at 51 North Fremont Street, which is at the southwest corner of Henry Street.
Assistant City Manager Keith Baker said the zoning code amendment still has to be approved by the City Council.
Property owner Martha Fillmore said they will operate from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and there is a need for this type of home in the community.
