UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings improved to 2-0 with a 60-34 victory over the Union City Chargers. The Vikings built a 32-14 halftime lead as they forced the Chargers into 21 turnovers. Kiera Lasky led Bronson with a game-high 16 points. Ashton Wronikowski added 12 points while Kiana Mayer had 10 points.
Dani Cross led the Chargers with 11 points while Allison Adams had ten points and 12 rebounds. Union City drops to 2-1.
The Quincy Lady Orioles dropped their season opener at Leslie 28-27. Quincy had a 21-20 lead entering the final quarter but were outscored in the fourth 8-6. Quincy finished 10 of 52 from the floor and 6 of 14 from the line. Hannah Economou led Quincy with 12 points.

The Legg Middle School 8th grade B team beat Charlotte 29-26. Zakariga Saeed led Legg with nine points as the B team improved to 4-5. Results of the 8th grade A game were unavailable.
Both of the Legg Middle School 7th grade teams defeated Charlotte. The A team won 60-30 as Brandon Downs scored 17 points and Aaron May grabbed 12 rebounds. The B team is 9-0 after they won 53-18. Nate Tapeenden scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
