COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Fire Department has received a $1,000 grant from Michigan Gas Utilities.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Coldwater City Council on Monday night the grant will be used for the purchase of five portable carbon monoxide detectors.
Michigan Gas Utilities awards its Rewarding Responders Grants to help public safety agencies acquire lifesaving equipment or training.
More than $55,000 in grants have been awarded by MGU since 2015 to public service agencies in southern Michigan.
