BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – There won’t be many contested races for Branch County voters to decide in the General Election on November 8.
The filing deadlines to get on the ballot have past for local races.
The only contested county race will be for a seat on the Board of Commissioners. District Two Republican incumbent Jon Houtz will face Democratic challenger Chris Boger.
There will be a contested race for Union City Village President as incumbent William Avery will face challenger James Hurley for a four year term.
The most crowded race will be for a pair of six year terms on the Bronson School Board as there are seven candidates.
The candidates are Jose Albarran, Frank Barker, Janet Byler, Brian Eley, Jordan Houtz, Jennifer Krontz and William Rinehart.
