THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – Two adults were arrested Thursday at a Three Rivers motel after drugs were found in a room where there were two children.
Michigan State Police says their investigation started after methamphetamine activity in one of the rooms at the Spartan Motel was reported to the St. Joseph County Child Protective Services.
Troopers say a nine year old girl and a ten year old boy were staying in the room where they found suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Both of the suspects were from Three Rivers.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested and released for Marijuana possession. A 34-year-old man was lodged at the St. Joseph County jail for Possession of Meth.
The children were removed and placed with a family member. The matter is still under investigation.
