VERMONTVILLE, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Boys Soccer team started their season on Monday night with a 2-1 loss at Vermontville Maple Valley.
Quincy goaltender Kyle Passino made six saves in the first 20 minutes of play.
Adding to Quincy’s defensive brick house were Hamilton Spieth and Karter Pierce.
After Maple Valley got the first goal of the match, Quincy’s Bryton Beckwith would retaliate with his own shot on goal to tie up the score at 1-1.
Maple Valley was staved off yet another five times in the second half by Passino.
Ultimately it would be Maple Valley who would make the breakaway to score the game’s final goal.
Quincy’s varsity soccer boys team won’t have any down time between battles as they will take on Jonesville Tuesday night.
