Dorothy was born April 27, 1931 to Elmer and Edna (Eisenhower) Simons in Union City, MI. On August 4, 1951 Dorothy married Homer D. Stephenson in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a dedicated woman working at Quality Springs in Coldwater for 38 years until her retirement in 1994.
Dorothy was a collector of ceramic shoes, birdhouses, and angels, but above all, she enjoyed “collecting” time with her family especially her granddaughter Samantha.
Every Saturday, for many years, Dorothy made sure to attend a family breakfast at a number of local restaurants that not only her, but her entire family grew to love and cherish. Her family was her entire world and those she called a friend were just like family. She made sure to fill her heart with the love she held for each and every one and will be dearly missed by all.
Dorothy leaves behind her granddaughter Samantha Stephenson and many loving, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband Homer, she was preceded in death by her parents; her sons Charles and Jerry Stephenson both of Coldwater; her brothers Donald and Robert Simons both of Coldwater; and her loving Stephenson and Simons families.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Humane Society of Branch County.
