UNDATED (WTVB) – Republican 7th District Congressman Tim Walberg and G.O.P. 58th District State House member Eric Leutheuser were both re-elected Tuesday.
Not all of the votes had been counted late Wednesday morning but Walberg was leading by about 50,000 votes. He got 55 percent of the vote compared to 40 percent for Democratic challenger Gretchen Driskell.
All of the Michigan incumbent congressional members were re-elected with the G.O.P. maintaining a 9-5 advantage.
Leutheuser won by nearly 8,000 votes over Democratic challenger Mary Hamaty.
The Republicans will maintain control of the House in Lansing as Democrats failed to take the nine seats they needed to wrestle away control.
