UNDATED (WTVB) – Voters in Gilead Township and in the Union City Community School District will be asked to approve millage renewals next Tuesday.
Gilead Township voters will be asked to renew a millage of up to a half mill for five years for the purpose of maintaining fire protection and equipment.
If approved, the township would collect just over $12,400 in the first year.
The Union City school proposal would allow the district to continue to levy the statutory rate of no more than 18 mills for five years in order to provide funding for operating purposes.
If approved, it’s estimated the district will be able to collect over $622,000 in revenue in 2017.
