COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners approved a series of budget line item increases totaling about $1.3 million on Tuesday that were submitted by the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency.
Theresa Fisher from the C.H.A. said there was a $22,000 adjustment due to a federal medical marijuana grant they received which was not in their original budget.
There was also a change in the appropriations from the three counties they serve.
Fisher said they got a 13 cent per capita increase in their appropriations from the three counties after census numbers were adjusted. That increased the per person rate up to $5.15.
Fisher added Branch County had a larger population increase than the other two counties.
