FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – Police in Steuben County, Indiana say a suspect is in custody following a car-pedestrian accident early Wednesday afternoon on the north side of Fremont.
The vehicle involved was found on State Road 127.
A parameter was set up in the area of State Road 127 and the Pokagon State Park exit off I-69, and the suspect was arrested just before 1:30 p.m.
The Samaritan Helicopter was called in to fly the injured pedestrian to a hospital. As mid-afternoon, there was no word on the extent of the person’s injuries.
