PARCHMENT, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater, Quincy and Bronson all competed on Wednesday at the Parchment Classic.
Bronson finished second in the boys meet. Kalamazoo Christian was first with 57 points followed by Bronson with 93 and Delton-Kellogg with 98. Coldwater was fifth with 129 points. Quincy did not have enough runners for a team score.
Coldwater’s Haroon Omar was third with a time of 17:40.48 followed by Quincy’s Rhett Reif who was fourth with a time of 18:01.5. Bronson’s Aden Hathaway was sixth with a time of 18:42.49. Also finishing in the top 30 from Branch County were James DeWitt of Coldwater who was 13th, Perry Lake of Bronson was 17th, Tanner Norton of Bronson was 19th and Tyler Wilber of Bronson who finished 24th.
Bronson finished third in the girls race with 120 points. Kalamazoo Christian won with 34 points followed by Schoolcraft with 55 points.
Coldwater was sixth and Quincy was eighth.
Bronson’s Ava Hathaway was second with a time of 20:48.67. Her teammate Ashlynn Harris was eighth.
Other top 30 finishers from Branch County were Coldwater’s Lainey Yearling who was 12th with a time of 22:32.09. Quincy’s Charlotte Crabbs and Sadie Miller who were 21st and 22nd respectively, Bronson’s Aubrey Mace who was 26th and Coldwater’s Abigail Robison who was 28th.
