COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A dispute between neighbors on East Pierce near Morse has gone viral on social media sites and Coldwater Police are hoping cooler heads prevail.
According to posts that have been made on Facebook, the dispute centers around politics and race.
One of the neighbors has written KKK on the side of his pickup truck which has been parked in the front yard of his home. Pictures on Facebook also show anti-Republican Party statements in his yard after a political sign was reportedly taken from his property.
Coldwater Director of Public Safety Mark Bartell says they are trying to discern if this was a neighbor dispute that has escalated.
He said Thursday they continue to talk with the neighbors with hopes they can find a resolution. Bartell adds that generally it has been a quiet neighborhood in the past.
