CONSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – A Constantine man was flown to Bronson Hospital with serious injuries on Monday night after his Schwans truck struck a tree which had fallen in the road in St. Joseph County’s Flowerfield Township.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year-old Timothy Edward Sherer was unable to stop and struck the tree head on while he was driving on M-216 near Chamberlain Road at about 8:35pm.
He had to be extricated from the vehicle after being entrapped. The Sheriff’s Office says alcohol was not a factor and seatbelts were used.
