COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has announced the details of the reopening of the Dr. Browne Recreation Center.
Beginning next Thursday, October 1, 2020, the Center will be open with limited hours. The building will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and Mondays and Wednesdays between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m..
As things continue to progress positively, additional options and activities will be added.
The staff is initially requesting the following from the public….
- Masks must be worn at all times (no exceptions).
- Staff will screen you and check your temperature before entering the Center.
- There will be no access to the locker rooms; however, bathrooms will be available.
- No more than ten people will be allowed on a court at one time.
- Only participants will be allowed in the Center (no spectators at this time).
- There will be no access to drinking fountains.
- All passes will remain frozen until your first visit.
Staff members at the Browne Recreation Center say they understand that this is very different from the regular schedule of operations. They are asking for patience and understanding from patrons. It’s hoped that by following the Governor’s orders, there will be forward progress and additional activities opening up soon.
