COLDWATER MI (WTVB) – The annual Gala for the Community Health Center of Branch County could be seeing some changes in the future after revenue and attendance figures were down this year compared to 2015.
The matter was discussed during Friday’s joint meeting of the hospital Board of Trustees and the C.H.C. Foundation Board of Directors.
C.H.C. Foundation Director Terra DePew said while the live auction has been a good addition since it started in 2011, the gross revenue numbers have gone up and down over the last six years.
The gala represents ten percent of the Foundation’s fund raising revenue for the year.
Suggestions during the discussion included calling the event something else besides a Gala and to bring the admission price down.
DePew says the 2017 event will not be held on the same day as the Michigan-Michigan State football game.
