JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school volleyball Wednesday, Coldwater stayed undefeated in Interstate 8 Conference action with a 3-0 victory at Jackson Lumen Christi (25-20, 25-14, 25-22).The Cardinals are now 28-5-6 overall and 5-0 in the Interstate 8 conference.
The win sets up a big match-up at home with Harper Creek next Wednesday. The Lady Beavers are also undefeated in the conference.
Drue Mullin led Coldwater in kills with 7 and added 2 aces and 9 digs. Jamie Wellet led in assists with 15, led in digs with 10, and had 2 blocks. Sam Rodesiler, Jasmine Wellet, & Jamie Wellet each had 4 kills while Sam also dished out 5 assists and 9 digs. Darlene Horn had 7 digs.
Coldwater won the J.V. Match over Lumen Christi 2-0 (25-9, 25-16). Emilee Smoker had six assists, seven digs and eight aces, Anna Tappenden had five assists, seven kills and four digs, Carlee Crabtree had six kills and five blocks while Jordan Clemens had five kills and four digs.

7th grade football played at Jackson Northwest and fell 50-12. Coldwater touchdowns were scored by Owen Tom and a diving touchdown catch by Gavin Budd.
The 8th grade team played in a weather shortened game that ended half way through the first quarter with the Cardinals up 8-0. Coldwater touchdown was scored by Deandre Douglas. The game is not being rescheduled as the Coldwater Rocket football season has concluded.
