COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Michigan Strate University Extension District Coordinator Julie Pioch told The Branch County Board of Commissioners Tuesday that they are looking to hire a swine educator.
Poich said they will be accepting applications for the position through next week. Pioch indicated the new Clemens facility which will open in about a year is one of the reasons a swine educator is being brought in by MSU Extension.
She added there has been talk of bringing a dairy educator to the Branch County office.
In other business during a routine meeting that lasted about 10 minutes, commissioners honored Evon Staley for her 25 years of service to the county.
They also named Bob Montgomery of Coldwater to fill an expiring position on the Human Services Board.
