COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Administrator Bud Norman updated county commissioners on jail roof and animal control projects during the commissioner’s Work Session Thursday.
He said bids for the animal shelter are due next Friday with work scheduled to start in about a month. Pre-bid meetings are scheduled for Friday and Monday at the Sheriffs Department.
Norman went over a schematic drawing of the proposed facility with Commissioners. The proposed shelter will be built next to the Branch County Jail.
Meanwhile, Norman said bids for repairs to the roof over the maximum security section at the Branch County Jail are due on October 28, 2016.
Commissioners authorized the county to seek requests for proposals for roof repairs two weeks ago.
