COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education wants to hear from community members regarding the state of district facilities and potential improvements.
A meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to gather comments in the Legg Middle School Media Center.
School officials say the meeting will serve as a catalyst for shaping a long term facilities plan for the district. They add the process is intended to be open and transparent and allow for all viewpoints to be heard.
They have pointed out in the past that there has been an increased need to use money from the general fund to help pay for infrastructure maintenance and repairs in the districts aging buildings.
A flyer that has been distributed says the input of the community is critical in shaping a plan that best addresses the needs of the schools while also respecting the voice and opinion of taxpayers.
