COLON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Sturgis man was killed and two persons were injured Friday morning in a multiple vehicle crash in St. Joseph County.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says 63-year-old Paul Alber was killed in the accident which took place on M-86 just west of Farrand Road in Colon Township.
He was in a van that had slowed down behind a semi that was turning left when his vehicle was struck from behind by a pickup truck.
The impact pushed Alber’s van into the back of the semi. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van and a passenger were injured while the driver was not hurt.
