COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school girls volleyball, Coldwater is now 2-0 in the Interstate 8 conference after they beat Pennfield Wednesday night in three games Wednesday night, 25-15, 25-14, 25-19. Jamie Wellet ended the night with being the McDonald’s player of the game.

Jamie Wellet led in assists with 28, led in digs with 14, and had 5 kills
Jasmine Wellet led in kills with 9 and had 8 digs
Isabella Foley added 5 digs
Drue Mullin had 6 digs and 8 kills
Malorie Rzepka had 7 kills
Samantha Rodesiler had 5 kills and 4 digs
Coldwater’s varsity team is now 18-4-5 overall and 2-0 in the Interstate 8.
Pennfield won both of the underclassmen matches. They won the J.V. match 2-0 (25-20, 25-21) and the freshman contest 2-1. The Coldwater’s J.V. are now 25-3. Carlee Crabtree had seven kills, Emilee Smoker had seven assists and five kills while Anna Tappenden had five digs and three assists.
Bronson 3, Mendon 0 (30-28, 25-22, 27-25)
The match featured two of the best teams in the state. Bronson is ranked second in Class C this week by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association while Mendon was ranked second in Class D. The Vikings are now 16-5-1
