COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Tudor Dixon spent part of Election Eve speaking in front of a noon time rally at the Branch County Republican Party headquarters east of Coldwater.
She was the third Republican for statewide office to campaign in Branch County this year.
While Dixon was debating Democratic incumbent Gretchen Whitmer on October 25, Dixon’s running mate Shane Hernandez made an appearance during a debate watch party at the Parham Road Barn near Bronson.
Attorney General candidate Matthew DePerno appeared at the Coldwater Gardens restaurant the week before.
Congressman Tim Walberg, State Senate candidate Jonathan Lindsey and State Representative Andrew Fink also spoke at the rally.
Lindsey reminded his fellow Republicans to get to the polls on Tuesday.
Dixon expressed confidence about her chances.
She also slammed Whitmer on several issues and mentioned the Governor’s debate comments about the length of time schools were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Polls have shown the race between Whitmer and Dixon have tightened up in recent weeks. One showed Whitmer was up 11 points last week but another over the weekend had the lead at two points which was within the margin of error.

I dont like her position with Big Oil. She is Pro- OIL and wants CANADIAN company Enbridge LINE #5 open, endangering Michigan Michigan’s fresh waters!
