COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A work day for the Kids Kingdom playground in Coldwater’s Parkhurst Park that was scheduled for Saturday has been postponed for one week.
Coldwater Director of Community Services and Assistant City Manager Keith Baker says the work has been rescheduled for next Saturday, September 24 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. because of the high likelihood of rain Friday night and Saturday. Materials will be supplied.
Coldwater City Manager Jeff Budd expressed his frustration during a July City Council meeting about the continued vandalism at the playground.
He indicated at the time they were looking at increased security measures such as video cameras or motion lights.
The playground was built in 1998 by volunteers from throughout the Coldwater community.
