COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community School Board of Education approved a revised Graduation ceremony date for the Coldwater High School Class of 2021 on Monday night.
Graduation has been changed to Sunday, June 13 starting at 5:00 p.m. at Cardinal Field. Commencement was originally scheduled to take place on June 6.
School officials are hoping the COVID-19 pandemic will be a thing of the past when June rolls around and the Class of 2021 can have a more normal graduation.
Graduation ceremonies for Coldwater’s Class of 2020 were held on August 2, two months later than originally scheduled because of the pandemic.
The ceremonies could not be held on the Coldwater High School campus due to limitations at the time from the State of Michigan on how many people could be outside at a school event at one time.
They were moved to the Capri Drive-In where participants could stay in their cars and practice social distancing guidelines.
