COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A graveside funeral service for 43-year-old Jonathan Arnold McGuire will be held this Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm at the Adams Cemetery in Bronson.
McGuire died on August 29th when his car went into Cary Lake near Bronson.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department conducted a criminal investigation into the matter.
They are still waiting for the results of toxicology tests.
Undersheriff Keith Eichler said at the time that a man came into the Sheriff’s Department to report an accident at the public access site on the north side of the lake which had apparently taken place hours before. The man was apparently a passenger in the car which crashed into the lake.
McGuire’s body was recovered later that day from an upside down convertible which was submerged in the water.
Yellow crime tape was later stretched across the entrance to the access site.
An obituary for McGuire said over the past 10 years he has battled health issues.
