COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Office has lost another longtime volunteer.
Posse Deputy Robert “Bob” Teachout passed away at around midnight Thursday night at the Community Health Center of Branch County after being in ill health for some time.
Teachout had five major surgeries in the past year and had spent most of his time in the hospital.
He was a member of the Branch County Sheriff’s Posse for over 40 years starting with Sheriff Keith Wilhelm.
A benefit spaghetti dinner to help pay for his medical expenses is scheduled to be held Saturday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Quincy American Legion.
