COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Preliminary exams are scheduled to take place Tuesday in Branch County District Court for a pair of suspects who are charged in connection with the March 29, 2016 robbery of the Century Bank and Trust branch in Quincy.
John Thomas Morgan was unsuccessful in trying to get his $1 million bond reduced last week during a probable cause hearing. He is facing seven charges. Morgan has entered not guilty pleas to three counts of bank robbery, three counts of unarmed robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit bank robbery.
Co-defendant Nikole Collins is also facing bank robbery and conspiracy to commit bank robbery charges in Branch County. Her bond is $500,000.
The Quincy robbery was part of a series of area hold ups earlier this year. Although Morgan and Collins were mentioned as possible suspects in other hold ups, no charges have been filed.
