TEMPERANCE, MI (WTVB) – It was a quiet Friday on the high school sports scene, ahead of the Labor Day weekend. Bronson traveled to the Temperance Bedford Invitational and went 2-2 on the day, falling to Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central in the quarterfinal 25-15, 25-16. The Vikings went 1-2 in pool play with a loss to Farmington Hills Mercy (25-12, 25-20) and wins against Plymouth Salem (25-19, 25-17) and Adrian (25-21, 25-18). For the day, Allison Sikorski led Bronson with 21 kills, while Jill Pyles had 12 kills and 6 service aces, Kiana Mayer had 66 assists, and Kiera Lasky had 40 digs. The Class C top-ranked Vikings are now 12-4.
Most of the high school football games this week were played on Thursday, but there were a handful of games in the area last night:
