EATON RAPIDS, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater girls swiming and diving team picked up its first win of the season Thursday, topping Eaton Rapids 101-83.
Coldwater won 8 out of the 12 events and had many personal bests along the way. The divers also did very well finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The relay team of Kordelia Ulrich, Jayda Kelly, Erica Rogers and Kinzie Groves also broke the team record in the 400 Freestyle relay. Jayda Kelly and Kinzie Groves both won two events and Kordelia Ulrich and Erica Rogers each winning an event.

—GIRLS GOLF—
Coldwater finished third in the first Interstate 8 Jamboree of the season hosted by Parma Western at the Arbor Hills Golf Course. Hastings won the event with a team score of 188, followed by Lumen Christi with a 194, Coldwater at 195, Jackson Northwest and Marshall tied at 214 but Northwest took 4th place on their 6th person’s score. Harper Creek shot 217 for 6th place and Western rounded out the scoring with a 220.
Medalist for the event was Jackie Nevins from Hastings with a round of 40. Claire Sheppard and Jayla Goodwin both had rounds of 47 for the Cardinals while Hunter Jenkot carded a 49 and Molly Smith had a 52.
Hastings will host the next Jamboree on Wednesday, September 5.
