BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy’s eighth grade boys basketball team suffered their first loss of the season while both of the Bronson Junior High teams were winners at Homer on Monday night.
Quincy lost at home to Springport 62-41. Alex Dunn led the Orioles with 19 points. Noah Rufenacht also reached double figures with 10 points. Christian Craven added eight points.
The Bronson seventh graders got their second win of the season as they defeated Homer 42-23. Owen Losinski led Bronson with 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Naz Salesman had 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
The Bronson 8th grade boys improved to 3-1 with a 43-21 victory. As a team the defense recorded 20 steals. Layne Arver contributed 11 points, Wyatt Weinberg had nine points, Warner Wotta and Reid Stukey both had eight points.
