WHITE PIEGEON, MI (WTVB) – A man from Bristol, Indiana is in the St. Joseph CountyJail after leading police on a pursuit and running into a home over the weekend in Mottville Township.
Michigan State Police say they tried to stop a vehicle at about midnight on Saturday for defective tail lights but the driver refused to stop.
The pursuit went west on Riverside Drive before it turned onto a private drive. The unidentified 47-year-old driver then got out of his vehicle and ran into a residence. After a few minutes, the driver was talked into coming out of the home and was arrested.
Troopers say the suspect admitted to being under the influence of meth and having a suspended driver’s license.
The driver was lodged on numerous charges including fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing, operating under the influence of drugs and possession of meth.
